About the Founders

Don Mann

Don Mann is a retired Navy SEAL and combat veteran renowned for his unparalleled contributions to multi-day, multi-sport adventure races, triathlons, and SEAL training events. With a career that spans numerous elite military units, including SEAL Team One, SEAL Team Two, and SEAL Team Six, Don has become a leading figure in endurance sports and adventure racing.


As the Executive Producer of "The American Smuggler" and host of "Surviving Mann" and "The Mission," Don has captivated audiences worldwide. He is a New York Times Best Selling author, with 22 books to his name, including the acclaimed autobiography "Inside SEAL Team SIX: My Life and Missions with America’s Elite Warriors."


Don's impressive career includes roles as a motivational speaker, international trainer, Executive Producer and consultant for the movie "American Smuggler" and "Navy SEAL’s." He has directed and produced some of the world’s most challenging endurance competitions, such as the Primal Quest Expedition Adventure Race and Expedition BVI.


Beyond his athletic and military achievements, Don is the founder and was CEO of Odyssey Adventure Racing, Inc., Frogman Charities, and the BattleFrog Obstacle Race Series. He has designed the world’s longest adventure races for Warner Brothers and IMAX, spanning from Ecuador to the North and South Poles.

Ken Shamrock

Ken Shamrock, often hailed as the godfather of mixed martial arts (MMA), boasts a global reputation as a formidable fighter, earning induction into the UFC Hall of Fame. Beyond his UFC tenure, Shamrock's athletic prowess extended to both wrestling in the WWF and securing the inaugural Pancrase Heavyweight World Champion MMA title in Japan. Additionally, he founded the renowned Lion's Den fighting school, a breeding ground for elite fighters.

Shamrock's career is punctuated by numerous accolades and awards, including capturing the UFC Superfight Championship at UFC 6 in 1995 and earning induction into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2003. His dominance in the Japanese MMA scene earned him the title of King of Pancrase, while his contributions to professional wrestling garnered recognition from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, NWA Hall of Fame, and Impact Hall of Fame.

In addition to his MMA and wrestling achievements, Shamrock won three Tuffman competitions in 1989 and 1990. His influence as an MMA pioneer was solidified by Black Belt magazine, which named him the number one fighter in the world in 1993. Arnold Schwarzenegger personally signed for Shamrock's induction into the San Diego Hall of Fame, and he recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award, underscoring his multifaceted impact on both MMA and professional wrestling throughout his illustrious career.
